Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files
Why do we use PDF files?
Some documents on our site are in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).
Adobe PDF documents allow us to provide you with reports, leaflets and other materials that maintain the attractive formatting and graphic images of the printed version. They allow our documents to be viewed on a wide range of platforms and are suitable for printing.
How do I open PDF files?
To open PDF documents, you will need to have the free Adobe Reader software installed on your computer. To install, follow the instructions below (these will appear on every page where we link to a pdf):
One or more documents on this page are provided in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format. To view, you will need to have the free Adobe Reader software installed. Download this software by clicking on the icon to the left; alternatively read our help.
Once you have the software installed, simply click on the document link. The pdf file will open in a new window.
What if I use a screen reader?
Adobe have developed a number of ways to make PDF (Portable Document Format) files accessible to those using screen readers. For more information visit their Acrobat Accessibility page.
If you are unable to use these accessibility tools for any reason and need a text-only copy of a PDF file posted on this site, please contact us.
