Manchester I.M.P.S. started in 2000.
We are funded by Public Health Manchester to work with Manchester City Council schools only. We deliver 100 hospital visits involving approximately 2,500 children per year.

Manchester Royal Infirmary
We can offer visits to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital/Manchester Royal Infirmary, North Manchester General or Wythenshawe Hospital depending on the location of your school.
We do not charge our schools to participate but expect them to organise and fund their own transportation to and from the hospital.
I.M.P.S. is delivered as part of the Manchester child accident prevention strategy. We have developed the following projects which complement, lead up to and on from I.M.P.S.
- ELFS for 3 to 5 year olds and their parents
- ORCS for 14 to 19 year olds.
Please contact us for further information.
We are happy to work with special schools to adapt all of our projects to appropriate age groups.
