After many years supporting children to learn first aid skills, the Injury Minimization Programme for Schools closed in its current form on 31 August 2026.
Core funding from various sources, including government, local council and NHS funding, has been withdrawn over the years, and Oxford was the last remaining I.M.P.S. centre.
We would like to thank the I.M.P.S. staff and trainers for all their work over the years, and the schools, teachers and healthcare professionals who helped support the programme.
Our thanks also go to the many supporters who raised funds for I.M.P.S. Any remaining funds will be used by Oxford Hospitals Charity to support children in hospital, with a focus on education and emergency care.
