The sun almost came out for the sponsored abseil on Sunday 14th June. 11 brave and adventurous supporters of Oxfordshire I.M.P.S. made their way to the top of the John Radcliffe Hospital to complete their challenge. For some it was a very daunting prospect, however, the team did amazingly well kitted out in white I.M.P.S. t-shirts and face paint.
One of the abseilers, Paul Richards said “I really enjoyed the day, knowing that the money raised will go to such an important programme made it all worthwhile. It may actually save someone’s life in the future.”
The Madley Dream Team, who are a group of four teachers at Madley Brook school, were all keen to take part so that the pupils they teach can be involved in this vital training.
The total raised so far is an amazing £1359.00 so far and more donations are still being made.
A huge THANK YOU to all of the abseilers and spectators, it was a very successful event.
