“I am so proud of our children”

Nilofer Khan, Headteacher from Fir Tree School, Wallingford says,

“I am so proud of our children and you and your team should be too”

We had our official opening for the defibrillator that the Wallingford Town Council has put in our school for our local community. The Year 6 school councillors were brilliant.  When Dick Tracey showed them how the defibrillator works, he was amazed at how much they knew and when they said they had learnt it at I.M.P.S. he was doubly impressed that they had remembered. One child went on to explain that after their I.M.P.S. session, his younger brother had cut himself at home and he applied pressure and knew what to do. Thank you for all you do for our children across all the schools. Your sessions are brilliant and give the children the confidence to know what to do in an emergency.

Some comments from our Year 6 children that shows just how much your sessions impact on them:

I think I.M.Ps is really helpful because if you do see someone who needs help you will know what to do.

I helped my brother who fell off my bed and cut his leg on a bag of photo frames and the glass cut his leg. I applied pressure to the cut whilst my mum came to help.
