About I.M.P.S.

In 1994, a multi-professional team from health and education in Oxfordshire developed the Injury Minimization Programme for Schools – a health education programme for year 6’s.

The aim of I.M.P.S. is to empower young people to take personal responsibility for their own risk management and to equip them with the skills to cope in an emergency situation.

It targets children between the ages of 10 and 11 who statistically are at greater risk of disability or death due to unintentional injury.
